A first-of-its-kind mobile app for football fans, Socios.com gets you closer to the team you love by allowing you – the superfan – to vote on club-specific decisions. Maybe your team wants to change their crest; maybe they want to check opinion on a kit design; or maybe they want to know who fans would like to meet at a club event – it’s you they will ask, and it’s you they will listen to. It’s like having a direct line to your club’s front office in your pocket.

The Challenge
The biggest challenge was to come up with something which didn’t exist yet at that time. This app started from one small paragraph of client “wishlist” which later developed into an amazing product with huge fan following.
The First Concept.
In the image below you can see the first concept of the socios app. The whole process of research and prototyping took about two weeks. I have decided to use the bottom navigation area for main app features while keeping the home screen as an overview area containing relevant information such as available tokens on the market, promotional area, navigational tabs to check the token market, token categories and other promotional material which is important for the users.

In this case, you can see AJA Token page with relevant token-specific information and available team polls. If the user owns AJA Tokens he or she is allowed to participate in the decision making.
Token Hunt!
During the release of Socios App, users were given free tokens. Probably this was the most exciting feature to lay my hands on. The main concept is similar to Pokemon go where users scan their surroundings for available tokens. This was used to engage users to play and to familiarise with the product.
